Children love the night magic of glow-in-the-dark stars. There are some precautions you need to take, however, to make sure that your kids will be safe when exposed to these fun stickers ...
Though they are not very expensive, glow-in-the-dark stars can be one of your child’s most favorite things. You can often buy packages of the stars for less than five dollars, and they will provide hours and hours of entertainment. They aren’t just for children though, as many adults like to have these as well. Quite often they are hung on ceilings and walls, and will glow in the lights go out. For children, it is like sleeping outside under the stars. For adults, it may be something peaceful and restful to help them to fall asleep.
You can find glow-in-the-dark stars in and out of different places. You may not be able to find them in your favorite store, but you can probably find them somewhere nearby. I have found some of the best glow-in-the-dark stars come from specialty shops. The shops often have higher quality merchandise, and what they have to sell will last. Even though you may have to find them at a specialty shop, you still won’t have to pay a lot for them. You can find more than stars, as there are many kits that also offer planets and other things to go along with the stars.
My daughter has glow-in-the-dark stars in her bedroom. We put them on the walls and on the ceiling. They gather energy from the sunlight during the day, and also from her overhead light. When the lights go out at night, and it is time for her to go to sleep, they give off a peaceful yellow glow. Though these glow-in-the-dark stars do not go all night, they tend to glow just long enough for her to fall to sleep.
If you have very small children, you may want to be careful with the glow-in-the-dark stars. Though your infants may appreciate the pretty light, you want to make sure that they are secured to the wall and the ceiling. You may even want to refrain from hanging glow-in-the-dark stars directly over their bed or crib. If one were to fall, and your child were to pick it up, it may be a choking hazard. Hang them on the other side of the room from where they sleep, and make sure they are securely fastened to the wall. You may even want to check on them once in awhile, and add new adhesive if anything seems loose, or if others have started to fall off.

Toddlers Facts & Tips
Now that you have familiarized yourself with the major characteristics of Asperger's there are a few more things that you can do to help your toddler cope with the world. Look into getting professional help. A reputable specialist familiar with the disorder can offer advice on your child's development and a clinical psychologist can work in tandem with your pediatrician to help improve your child's social skills through therapy and/or medication. When your toddler is of age to begin pre-school, seek the counsel of a special education expert as well, as school is a very social and academic environment.
